Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress, and songwriter for many years. Sara Ramirez was raised with her American mother. She faced a lot racial taunts that led her to feel unwelcome. After she participated in an event at school and was given the highest praise for her singing at the age of 9 she began to gain confidence. The experience not only boosted her self-confidence but also changed the direction she wanted to go in her career. In 1992, she earned her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was called You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with her role as The Lady of The Lake, in the original Broadway production of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great praise for the performance. She gained more recognition when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. Also, she is a well-known performer and has released an extended play. Additionally, she works as a LGBT activist.
